The Hiller Aviation Museum has been selected to receive an award for EXCELLENCE IN MUSEUM EDUCATION for its Aero Design Challenge. The challenge is co-sponsored by Peaxy.
The Superintendent’s Awards for Excellence in Museum Education Competition recognizes outstanding achievements in California museum programs that serve K-12 students and/or educators. The competition is the joint project of the sponsors, California Association of Museums and the Office of the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, with scoring based on categories of program design, evidence of excellence, planning/evaluation and innovation.
Hiller Aviation Museum will be presented with the award next month by the State Superintendent of Public Instruction at the 2018 California Association of Museums 6th Annual Luncheon in Palm Springs. Honorees will also make presentations about the winning programs, and Hiller’s VP of Education and Public Programs Jon Welte will represent the Museum and speak about the Aero Design Challenge.
Peaxy CEO Manuel Terranova is a board member at Hiller, and Peaxy employees volunteered at the Aero Design Challenge. Congratulations to Hiller and all the participating volunteers!
